  • Tbone K. made Chocolate Filled Sweet Potato Pie (see page 48) from The Kitchen and The Garden Patch.
Here’s what he said:

”I made the chocolate filled sweet potato pie today, it went over very well. =)
I think I did not save enough of the sweet potato for the topping (chocolate shows

through a bit), but it was well-received and delicious.”

One of my absolute favorite dessert recipes. It’s alright if the chocolate shows through (like my mom always said: “It all goes the same down little red lane.”). One way to avoid this though, is to use a small coating of sweet potato under the chocolate, and a thicker layer of sweet potato to cover it.
